In-Class Activity: Practice Brief Comic
This activity was completed in class in small groups as a follow-up to their creating a digital story in PowerPoint. We wanted to introduce a multipurpose digital tool, Pixton Comics, since we planned to use it for a later assignment. Since students had already created a brief digital story, we gave them the opportunity tell the same or another story in comic format. The results were posted to the class discussion board, we reviewed and discussed the results, and we related the new student samples to the principles we had been discussing about visuals and digital storytelling.
